Škoda Auto India has revised the prices of its Kushaq SUV and Slavia sedan, making them more affordable while also simplifying their variant lineup. These updates aim to attract more customers and strengthen the brand’s position in India’s competitive automobile market.
Updated Prices and New Variant Names
The Škoda Kushaq now starts at ₹10.89 lakh, which is a ₹1.10 lakh reduction from the earlier entry price of ₹11.99 lakh. The top-spec Monte Carlo 1.5 AT variant has seen a major price drop of ₹2.19 lakh, bringing its price down to ₹18.30 lakh.
The Škoda Slavia has also received price reductions. The base model is now available at ₹10.69 lakh, down by ₹94,000 from its earlier price of ₹11.63 lakh. The most premium Prestige 1.5 AT variant now costs ₹18.69 lakh, reflecting a minor ₹14,000 reduction.
Škoda has also renamed the existing variants of both models:
- The previous Active, Ambition, and Style trims are now called Classic, Signature, and Prestige.
- The Kushaq Onyx and Monte Carlo editions remain unchanged.
Engine and Performance Updates
Both models continue to be powered by two petrol engine options, offering a balance between performance and fuel efficiency.
- 1.0-litre TSI turbo-petrol – Now E20 compliant, meaning it can run on petrol blended with 20% ethanol.
- 1.5-litre TSI turbo-petrol – Currently undergoing tests for E20 fuel compatibility, with results expected by late 2024.
These updates ensure that Škoda’s vehicles are future-ready while meeting evolving environmental standards.
Competition and Market Positioning
The Kushaq competes with other mid-size SUVs like the:
- Volkswagen Taigun
- Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara
- Honda Elevate
- Kia Seltos
Meanwhile, the Slavia sedan rivals models such as the:
- Honda City
- Volkswagen Virtus
- Hyundai Verna
- Maruti Suzuki Ciaz
With the price cuts, Škoda aims to strengthen its foothold in the Indian market and appeal to a broader audience.
Limited-Time Offer
The new pricing is available for a limited period, so potential buyers are encouraged to take advantage of the offers before they change.
These adjustments highlight Škoda’s commitment to providing value and staying competitive in India’s automobile sector. With more affordable pricing and updated trims, the Kushaq and Slavia are now even better options for buyers seeking premium features at a reasonable cost.
